If you own a wild animal, “no one” will think it’s “cute” if you “bring” it to the pet store to have its “picture” taken with “Santa.” That statement is one of pure common sense, right? Apparently that kind of logic doesn’t follow in Atlantic County, NJ. Last week a PetSmart store in the area was the scene of a small incident when a Santa the store hired to sit for portraits with pets was bitten by a customer’s (illegal) bobcat. The owner grabbed the kitty and ran away before the animal could be tested for diseases, so now the poor soul playing St. Nick has to get a series of excruciating rabies shots in his fat, jolly belly. Hohoho, sucks for you big guy.
